This week is National Green Week (8th – 12th March) and students and staff from the IT Carlow Green Campus committee are inviting everyone to engage with various events taking place during the week and contribute to the IT Carlow #GreenWeek2021 activities.
A lunchtime information session will take place every lunchtime (1pm-2pm) this week to mark the IT Carlow #GreenWeek2021 drive.
Today’s theme is Fast Fashion and there will be a lunchtime workshop on moving from fast to sustainable fashion. Tomorrow’s theme is climate change. Wednesday’s workshop is about ways to enhance biodiversity with an invitation to a national workshop on food and biodiversity. Thursday’s theme is food waste with advice on growing your own food, how to reduce food waste and a remote litter picking event. Friday’s session is about water protection: what we can do to save water and a showcase of what actions students are involved in around the country.
