Wexford Campus Offering Fully-Funded Third-Level College Places as Opening Evening Announced for 16th August

Institute of Technology Carlow Wexford Campus opening evening Institute of Technology Carlow Wexford Campus is to host an opening evening to showcase its comprehensive range of full-time, part-time and Springboard courses on Thursday 16th August from 6-8pm.

The event offers attendees the chance to find out more about Institute of Technology Carlow Wexford Campus and the many benefits of being a student there. The campus offers a wide range of internationally-recognised full-time and part-time courses, from higher certificates to masters programmes, across a variety of disciplines. They include: Business; Innovation Management; Applied Social Studies; Energy Management; Psychology; Digital Media Design; Digital Marketing; Project Management; Leadership and Change Management; Data Protection; Web Design; Entrepreneurship and Arts and Design, amongst others. The open evening coincides with the announcement that the Wexford Campus is now taking applications for its Springboard programmes commencing in September. The Springboard initiative offers full-funded third-level college places offered on a free, part-time basis to jobseekers, as well as those currently in employment and homemakers, and has led to thousands of participants returning to the workforce throughout the country. Springboard courses offered by the Wexford campus include qualifications in Energy and Buildings; Public Procurement and Construction; Business; Arts in Digital Media Design; Data Protection; Purchasing Strategy; CAD & 3D Modelling, amongst others.

Students at Institute of Technology Carlow Wexford Campus thrive on the small class sizes, individual attention from expert lecturers, students support services and from the close links with industry that allows for integral work placements and employment opportunities.

Mark Cooke, who is a graduate in Applied Social Studies (Professional Social Care) commented on his time at Institute of Technology Wexford campus, “To study at Wexford Campus was an enjoyable experience filled with fun and laughter. At Wexford Campus, they provide an intimate experience that allows for organic learning in a relaxed environment. Having Wexford Campus on your doorstep allows affordable and attainable education. For me, I would not have completed third-level education only for Wexford Campus and for that I am grateful. I would highly recommend Wexford Campus and I look forward to seeing the campus grow”.

At the open evening, staff will be present to offer information in such areas as: CAO admissions; fees and grants applications; back to education/social welfare entitlements; Lifelong Learning and the Institute’s various clubs & societies.

Dr. Karen Hennessy, Head of Wexford Campus, commented, “Upskilling is about building on existing qualifications and experience and it gives all of us an opportunity to change careers or to move to another level in our current careers.
