Congratulations to David Kelly, 4th Year Software Development student, on winning the O'Reilly Media Academic Prize Scheme for 2018. David's final year project, FOALARM, received the highest mark among this year's excellent crop of 4th year software development projects. The FOALARM system aims to predict imminent foaling in mares using locomotor activity analysis, and creatively combines networking, sensors, Internet of Things, programming, and data analysis.
David prize is a one year’s subscription to O’Reilly Media’s online learning platform, Safari, which provides access to content from 200+ publishers, as well as exclusive access to expert training and video content.
