A team of students from IT Carlow has won the Health and Safety Authority’s Safety in Construction competition, aimed at undergraduate teams from construction-related programmes in Higher Education. IT Carlow had 3 of the 7 teams in the finals and one of those teams sprinted through to claim first place, with Cork IT in 2nd place. Hats off to our winning team of Adin Middleton, Alan Mc Cartney and Richard Burke who were runner's up last year, but fulfilled their ambition of first place this year.
Congratulations to the 3 Built Environment teams from the Facilities and Energy Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, and Construction Management courses who won through to the finals of the Health and Safety Authority third level competition. Adin Middleton, Alan Mc Cartney, Richard Burke, Mark Donoghue, Eugene Conroy, Enda Nolan, Declan Duffy, James McQuaid, Sean Dunne all performed exceptionally well to secure places in the finals against stiff opposition from other third level institutions.
